Rain Rain Go Away!

Good Thursday to you everyone and the title of today's blog post just says it all! Rain, Rain, Go Away! As today will feature heavy rains for some with embedded rumbles of thunder and a few flashes of lightning could be within some of the heavier bursts of rain. The good news is these storms will not be severe by any means, it will be your everyday storms and they might produce some gusty winds as well.

Temperatures will rise in the mid and upper 60s down here in southeastern Kentucky just ahead of a cold front that looks to move in here later on in the day. Temperatures will start to fall as the rain drops start to fall as well and the temperatures should fall into the 30s for tonight, tomorrow temperatures will rise close to 50 degrees. Saturday temperatures will flirt with 60 degrees and on Sunday the temperatures will rise back into the low and mid 60s aall three of those days looks to be dry as well.

All this heavy rain in the coming days ahead could cause some serious flooding for some areas. Here is a look at the GFS rainfall output for the next 5 days total.

Some areas could see up to 4 or even 5 inches of rain! That is something to keep our eyes on in the days ahead. We also have something else to watch maybe for your Monday depending on the timing of this thing that could bring more heavy rains our way with a few strong thunderstorms. No worries as I will be on top of it monitoring it all as the weather moves in.

Have a great Thursday everyone and take care! :)
