Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Last night into the overnight hours strong to severe thunderstorms moved through the area and in some places produced some small hail. That could happen yet again later today as the big upper level low pressure sits overhead.
Today tempertaures will hold steady into the low and mid 60s. We may see a few locations hit the upper 60s with the sun coming out. The threat is there again for more strong to severe thunderstorms today and whatever pops up you can track it on the radar on the bottom of the screen as I will be keeping an eye on it all day.
Temperatures will be back on the raise come the start of the week as they make a run to 70 and above for highs. Along with the warmer temperatures returning so will the threat for severe thunderstorms on Wednesday. That could set the pace for an active season in which there is plenty of cold air in Canada to dive south and clash with the warm moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and that would create severe thunderstorms. It's looking like we're going to be in for a wild storm season so be sure to be weather aware and ready for whatever comes our way!
Have a great Saturday everyone and take care! :)
