Good morning everyone and welcome to the blog on the last nice and warm day before the storm system moves in. High temperatures today will be near and above the 80 degree mark as show showers and thunderstorms will pop up later this afternoon and evening. That will be ahead of our next system that looks to affect our weather through the weekend.
Thjis next system moving in late tonight and into the day tomorrow will be a slow mover. Heavy rains is a threat with this as are a few thunderstorms. As of right now I'm not too concerned with the threat of severe thunderstorms, but a few storms may be strong and those storms would most likely be ahead of the main batch of steady rains that are currently starting to work it's way into Western kentucky as you read this.
Tomorrow temperatures will be in the 60s for highs and yes that is still above average for this time of year. Saturday temperatures look to struggle to reach 60 degrees for highs. Good news comes later at the start for next week. Temperatures looks to rebound back into the 70s for highs and even in the late week temperatures may make a run back towards 80 degrees.
