Hello everyone and good Sunday evening to you all. I hope you all had a great weekend and as I promised earlier here is a full update on the potential weekend storm and some thoughts on the models and what they all point to.
Here's a look at the GFS model...
Look at the space between the system off the west coast and the system over the Ohio Valley. Now look at how those lines bend. Thats showing a trough and the jet stream diving south over the midwest. This is on Early Sunday morning. Although we're still one whole week out this is something to keep in mind because if this system does take this track we're looking at a good shot at some winter weather.
Here's another look on the GFS model. Like I said above if the system does take on this track we'll likely see a rain to snow change.
Last but not least I have the European model to show to you all...
I personally like this one. The European model has been way more consistent than the GFS models over the past year. Plus the analog years are talking about this as well.
Now back to the short term. Temperatures will begin to spike up into the 50s by mid-week just to bring some more unwanted rains our way.
During the weekend is when that possible winter event will take place for the eastern half of the country. With that being said we cannot say how much snow or who will see it yet, because we just don't know and only time will tell us as we get closer to that.
More updates as needed. Have a great night and an even better start to your Monday. Be safe and take care! :)
You made some nice points there. I did a search on the topic and found most people will consent with your website.
