Super Bowl Sunday!

Hello everyone and good Super Bowl Sunday to you! The weather for today looks nice enough for football. We'll start out droopy and ugly looking with all those low hanging gray clouds out there but we will warm up into the mid and upper 40s with a few rays of sun possible and some locations may hit 50 degrees.

I've been watching the possibility of a weak system moving in here on Wednesday and maybe bringing some light snows back to the area and thats something I'll have my eye on in the coming days.

This coming weekend is when things looks to change... BIG TIME. A big dip in the jet stream looks to set up for the eastern half of the country making for very cold air to move in to the area as our temperatures will go well below normal for the weekend and some models are trying their best to show a big storm going up to our east.

A good look from the GFS model is showing the cold air lasting well into the start of next week, and how this plays out is yet to be known exactly, but your weather dude will be watching this carefully!
