Hello everyone and welcome to the blog on this great Tuesday! As you know the Kentucky Wildcats brought home their 8th National Title last night. Ahhh it's good to have in back on Lexington ;). Anyways let's get to the point here shall we? :) Today we have a slight risk for severe thunderstorms, take a look at the SPC's convective outlooks:
Thats most of the state for today. Temperatures are in the upper 70s for many locations and could easily reach 80. We have alot of moisture streaming into our area and that will only help to increase of storm chances and that raises the dewpoints ( moistrue in the air). As the heating of the day starts the thunderstorms will really fire up and the clouds will be in as well even in the locations not affected by thunderstorms.
Large Hail, Damaging Winds, and of course as always cloud to ground lightning and very heavy rains is likely with any storms that does develop today. Most storms will only reach strong limits but a few may become severe. I'll be watching all day to keep you up to date on the severe weather risks.
Be sure to watch the radar at the bottom of the page to watch the storms fire up. I will post more as needed and quick updates via facebook! Have a great day everyone, GO BIG BLUE! Take care :)
